If what you're saying is true, how is Ray McDonald allowed to play?
If there were video of Brett Myers putting a new asshole in his wife, Selig would've had to address everything like Goodell.

However, the new Domestic Abuse Policy means that if the league decides to call it domestic violence, it's pretty clear-cut what the consequences are: suspend a superstar for a MINIMUM of 6 games.
Unless, of course, they are willing to abandon that policy right out the gate, which would be a P.R. nightmare, considering the policy was an attempt to stem outrage from the Ray Rice fiasco. The alternative is sanctioning AP's actions as acceptable parenting, and I highly doubt they want the backlash from that.
It's basically a confluence of forces that has painted the NFL into a corner where it has to make some sort of major social and cultural statement, and no matter what they do, some people are gonna be pissed.
