You've become another cliched troll so why not?

PS I am not in a cubicle nor is my work experience "unhappy" but yes I am looking forward to an early retirement

Boy your tits are tweaked today. I brought him up, because he's the most severe injury on the active roster right now.

I hold the board regulars to a higher standard than I do the cretins I deal with in this business on a daily basis.

I don't really consider Alonso to be part of this sample. He was damaged goods from the beginning.
Kelly specifically said that soft tissue injuries were preventable and that he held Murray out of practice because he was more likely to get injured because of his high hydration level. He even said it was obvious!

"That was our decision [to keep him out]," Kelly said, confirming what his running back told reporters a day earlier. "We deal with a hydration status test and he was a little bit high. And obviously when you see guys that are high -- from a hydration standpoint -- then you kind of pull them back a little bit, because that's when they are susceptible to injuries."

I agree with the notion that you can reduce the risk of soft tissue injuries with proper diet. But the notion that you can completely prevent them from occurring with SPORTS SCIENCE! is BS to me. It's all hype, IMO.

So I give McCarthy credit for nothing that I am calling out the myth of Chip Kelly as some sort of super genius. That doesn't change what Kelly said about soft tissue injuries being preventable.

My problem is not with Chip Kelly so much as with those who buy into the notion that he is some sort of infallible super genius incapable of making mistakes. The fact is the Eagles do have a lot of soft tissue injuries this season. I would also add that ligaments are considered to be soft tissues by those in the orthopedic field.

I haven't seen anybody, without their tongue in their cheek, touting the Chipster as someone who will prevent 100 percent of injuries with his alKellymy.

I disagree. Maybe nobody flat out says he will prevent 100 percent of injuries, but there are plenty of people who have touted his SPORTS SCIENCE as revolutionary in reducing injuries.

I don't see anything revolutionary here. The Eagles look like a typical NFL team with regards to the hamstring pulls, groin tears, etc. The myth of Chip Kelly, Super Genius.

I should also add that I have not come to the conclusion that Kelly is a terrible coach or GM for that matter.

I hope he does well with the Eagles

I just don't buy that he is revolutionary or that much above other NFL coaches for that matter. If he was he should have won a playoff game by now

I guess I am bothered by the cult like unquestioning support he gets. I think part of it is due to FF fatigue.

Let's face it, if FF was still the coach and the Eagles had gotten off to this start we would be hearing all sorts of people calling for FF's head.

Is base such a claim on a detailed statistical analysis of soft tissue injuries of the eagles vs other teams, and the eagles pre-kelly vs post, using all seasons to date. And not base it on anecdotal evidence of a few current injuries

Zoli needs to chime in on this, as he sits in the scientist section

                              Of course...

But Kelly and his unquestioning supporters are the ones making these claims that SPORTS SCIENCE prevents injuries.

Maybe they should do the statistical analysis and present before they rip people who doubt them? It goes both ways.

Right now everything is just anecdotal... on either side of the discussion.

I thought he was a particle physicist. And yes, this board needs to start doing some statistical analysis.

                                This thread is totally lame.
