      seriously who are "these people"?

But Kelly and his unquestioning supporters are the ones making these claims that SPORTS SCIENCE prevents injuries.

Maybe they should do the statistical analysis and present before they rip people who doubt them? It goes both ways.

Right now everything is just anecdotal... on either side of the discussion.
I've never even heard of these chip sports science claims until this thread

Tommy Lawlor is always touting Chip's slick sports science. He is a front office mouthpiece.

Chip has claimed it himself. Just read the entire thread.

He said soft tissue injuries were preventable! Sure you can reduce the risk but preventable? Good grief. That's a load of BS, IMO.

And obviously when you see guys that are high -- from a hydration standpoint -- then you kind of pull them back a little bit, because that's when they are susceptible to injuries."

Also Kelly has specifically stated that soft tissue injuries are preventable.

I doubt even the Kool Aid drinkers here buy the Pravda line on Chip's sports science.

Not so sure about that. After season 1, the regimen was hailed and bowed down to.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

I have no problem with science. I just believe that the proposed theory that the Eagles organization ever proposed that Sports Science would 100% prevent injuries is a non-starter from the beginning. I will propose a counter-hypothesis that if the Eagles were 3-0 with the same injuries, that this thread wouldn't even exist.

We have a lot of people who are still at season 1.

This is season 3. Much larger sample size.

Were the players really fresher at the end of season last year when they were curb stomped three times?

It's not a theory of mine that injuries are preventable, it's a statement made by Chip Kelly.

If you interpret that as he firmly believes that all soft-tissue injuries are preventable due to his science, that's on you. I would think that he's noticed the injuries in the system since he's said that.

                            "Those are preventable".

                            Chip Kelly's words, not mine.

Sorry dude, he said it, not me. It's not on me, it's on him.

He could have said something like "Those can be reduced"... but he didn't. He said "Those are preventable"
