Walmart greeter is another sweet gig

Especially if you play it the opposite and tell people "go away", "stop shopping", "you suck", etc

I'll be a few months past my 58th birthday

Kinda in the same boat as old Man Big little - been with the same co. for 31+ years and was lucky to get talked into keeping the old defined benefit pension plan when they phased it out 27 years ago.

So my dad and a lot of his teacher buddies retired between 55 and 57, and none of them could sit still.

One became a greens keeper at a golf course, and really loves it and the free golf that comes with it.

This may sound strange, but another got a gig he really likes at a funeral home, helping with parking, and getting the flags on the cars during services.

My dad retired at 59 from his job as a junior high school principal on June 30 and on July 1 had started as the business manager at his golf club. He wasn't ready to retire but the school district made him a retirement offer he couldn't refuse.

My brother who still has the first dollar he earned will retire next year at 56. He and his wife made a plan and carried it out.

I'll be working until at least 65.

I quit my day job at age 25 and got into porn.

                      Straight, unlike Riccardo.

You talking Lancaster County? There is a big auto auction around there that is always hiring drivers. They bring the cars from the yard to the auctioneer.

Yessir I like that idea as well.

Uber is a good one too, flexible hours and what not

I agree with this idea. Or to quit in a dramatic way. I've always wanted to do this:
