His accuracy is a plus. Can't point to just one game... have to look at all games which is small but still a sample size.. he is still over 60% for 8 games. He was a third round pick... also... he is also pretty careful with the ball when he passes. It's also a small sample size.... but last year he had two bad games and followed them up with solid games. So he appears to be somewhat resilient.

I would consider those in the + category.

Plus he's a third round pick.... what's the harm playing him and finding out? Brees was trash after his third season.... and he had questions as well. Short... lack of arm strength and played in a spread o with a ton of short passes in college.

I mean.... unless he goes apeshit these last 8 games they are going to draft a qb anyway.... so what's the harm?

Maybe they get lucky for once. Saying why play foles...why play barkley? His arm is probably less.... he somehow doesn't move as well as foles which I didn't think could happen.... and he's a usc qb.

Chip kelly is playing the hand he was dealt, nothing more nothing less.

He could have changed his hand. He could have cut foles and kept dixon instead. Could have traded him.... could have gone with barkley instead. He didn't. He's got a 60% completion percentage for his career. One whole point ahead of Donovan McNabb's 59% a QB we vilified for being inaccurate.

I 100% understand wanting desperately for the Eagles to have a franchise QB, because I myself want them to have one. However, I'm not going to let that want convince my eyes and brain differently than the truth about Foles.

Cling on to the hope if you want, but Foles isn't the guy and the best thing for all of us is if he or Barkley don't win another game all year so that the Eagles have a shot at getting the guy.

So any qb play in college is now disqualified from being used to judgequarterbacks ability because you watched mcnabb (a completely different type of qb). Nice analogy. Again, it's a matter of opinion. Go educate yourself and watch some more of nick's play since there isn't enough of him as an eagle. Maybe your snarky comments and opinion will carry more weight.

Agreed. Ignoring the qb thing because the difference of opinions is what it is....to me...oline...wideout... and pass rush are still things that need to be worked on.

I honestly don't see the downside to playing Foles.

Making a sweeping conclusion on him is premature, and I really don't think his play in college or that Dallas game changes that.

I will give you this ... after watching Barkley play Sunday, I could see playing him to see what he has.

He made throws I didn't see think he could.

BTW - Kelly today said he's playing to win the game, not for next year. So he must think Foles is his best shot.
